The Penderwicks #2 is a book that is a must read this summer.  The Penderwicks #2 is the sequel to The Penderwicks, and is way better.  It is about Rosalind, Skye, Batty, Jane, Mr. Penderwick, and of course, Hound.  The book starts out with Mr. Penderwick’s sister coming to visit.  She says that Mrs. Penderwick (who is deceased) wanted Mr. Penderwick to start dating again ahd he has to go on three blind dates.  The girls do not want a stepmother so they set their father up on a bunch of terrible dates.  Mr. Penderwick isn’t the only one who gets romance, so does Rosalind with teh neighborhood football star Tommy.  The Penderwicks #2 is a very “girlie” book and I would not recommend it for boys.  This book was greatand anyone who has read Shug would enjoy this book.  The Penderwicks #2 gets an A+ and is a great summer read no matter what your age.
