Attack of the Turtle by Drew Carlson
Attack of the Turtle is a book that takes place during the American Revolution. It is about a boy who is 14 named Nathan. Nathan is the son of a fisherman and he is afraid of water. When Nathan’s cousin David comes home he shows the family what he’s been working on at Yale for two years. It’s called a submarine. David plans to play his part in the revolution by attaching a bomb to the submarine to blow up British ships. David ends up being too sickly to operate it himself so Nathan has to do it. Nathan doesn’t blow up the planned British ship but blows up the bomb in the water which scares the British away. I’d give this book a F, I thought it was dull, boring and it didn’t flow well.
