City of Ember is about people who live underground and start to run out of food and lightbulbs. They try to find their way up to land.
I thought this book was very interesting but confusing. I would recommend this book to anyone. It was really good. It had a lot of mysteries that don’t get finished in the first book so if you want to, read on!

A really good mystery/sci-fi that has good descriptive detail, but it isn’t boring. Good plot and characters. It is about a boy and a girl who try to find an exit out of their underground city. They have to find a map that leads to more secret clues. A really good book that I recommend to everyone. I thought that everyone will enjoy this book.
