Caught in the Act by Joan Lowery Nixon

  It’s about a boy Danny who had to leave his family because they were poor.  So he had to be adopted to a new family.  I thought this book was great and suspenseful.  It was the sequel to Family Apart.

A Deadly Game of Magic by Joan Lowery Nixon

  Four kids get trapped in an old creepy house because of rain.  They soon realize that someone doesn’t want them in there.  The person will do anything to get them out, like using magic, even if it means death.  The book kept me on the edge of my seat, I read it in one day!   The book started right off and jumped right in, it didn’t take awhile for me to get hooked.  I think all of Nixon’s books are good.  But, this one was great.
