Uglies by Scott Westerfield

The book was pretty good except it was slow in the middle, but you should finish reading it because the end is great!

Midnighters Book 1: The Secret Hour by Scott Westerfeld

fivestars.jpg This book is about a group of five kids who each have a special power, which is only usable at midnight. At midnight there’s a secret hour that’s all their own when time freezes. I thought this was an excellent book, I’ve already started the third book in the series.

Midnighters: The Secret Hour by Scott Westerfeld

fivestars.jpg  Jessica finds out that there are 25 hours in a day, and she is the only person able to light a fire in one hour.  I think this book is an excellent start for a trilogy.

Midnighters: Touching Darkness by Scott Westerfeld

threestars.jpg  The 5 monster slayers learn new secrets about a secret hour.  The 5 are Rex the Seer of the hour, Melissa the mind-reader, Dess the mathematician, Jonathan the Acrobat, and Jessica the flamebringer.  It feels like a filler for a trilogy.

Midnighters: Blue Noon by Scott Westerfeld

fivestars.jpg  Jessica saves a village by stopping from getting sucked into a world full of monsters.  In this manner, Jess gets sucked up into the secret hour, never to see her parents or sister again.  I really was saddened at the end, but I still like it.
